Your little princess has her big day coming up! She LOVES princesses and you think having a princess come along is a great idea... but where do you begin??
1. Preparation!
When planning a princess party, preparation is key! You cannot plan this party early enough! We often have people book our princesses 4-6 months in advance... but I would say the average to start planning is about 2-3 months in advance.
2. Location
Think about it....where you are going to have your princess party? Do you want a small party at home? Or are you thinking of having a huge party at a party venue? Having the party in your home is a fantastic option if you have a smaller guest list. In our experience, we find that small, intimate home parties can often be the most magical. There is something so special about a child opening her front door and seeing her favourite princess. But if you have a large guest list, then having a party in your home might not an option. There are many beautiful venues to choose from in the Greater Toronto Area that would work perfectly for a princess party!
3. Choose a Theme
Who is your daughter's favourite princess? Does she want a Belle themed party? or is she into Mermaids at the moment ...maybe she would prefer an Ariel Themed Party? Or maybe she loves Fairies and wants Tinkerbell to come along! ( Tip: If she loves all princesses and you are thinking of keeping it a surprise, you could ask her on a whim " I know you have LOTS of favourite princesses.... but If you could meet JUST ONE princess ...... who would it be?" and see what she says!)
4. Professional Help!!
Hiring a professional princess to come to your party is one of the easiest ways to take all the stress of you. Having a professional entertain the children allows you to just sit back, relax and enjoy the show! There are MANY companies to choose from in the Greater Toronto Area and picking the right one can be a little bit tricky. Some companies pride themselves on having the lowest pricing around, and while it might be VERY tempting to go with the cheapest company you can find, 9 times out of 10 these companies don't have very much experience entertaining children. If you go with the cheapest (without doing your research) sadly you might have your performer turn up looking more like a clown than a princess. Looking around at your options is the best way to ensure you have the most magical party experience possible. Take a look at each company website and social media pages - Do you like the quality of the costumes you see? Are there lots of pictures of the costumes, performers and wigs? Are there any videos you can check out? Many companies (ours included) pride themselves on having high-quality standards.
